Chrystal Photos

Alex Atkinson was a Saturday presenter during the mid/late 90's. He had loads of jingles and voice overs by Nick Coady.
I cannnot remember much about his shows or what he is doing now..

 

Oh the Andy Caine...Nice lad did a weekday evening programme called live and direct I think.

He went on to work with Northern Radio (as it was)..Liked rock music and went on to work for Wards brewery, then it shut down.. Lost contact.

 

 

This is another photo from the Party in the Park thingy, Simon Hirst (left), Dec and Ant, Anthony Gay (first presenter on Chrystal in 1984) and another Hallam DJ from the time ( I think Brett Harley?)..Help anyone?

 

 

Mr Andrew Etheridge, another top fella who worked at Chrystal and got involved in everything we did. Looks like he was begging for some computer kit from Russell.

 

 

The Sheffield Show, again recording it for Hallam and us. This was a set up by Paul Tilbrook I think who decided to ask the act (Anita Madigan) to show me up in front of the crowd, it worked.

To my left is Jenny Scott who worked at Chrystal at the time with her mate Elissa.

The legend that is Brett Hadley. he basically was Chrystal during the mid to late 90's and ran the radio side making it sound fresh and new.  Top lad.

 

 

Bob McGee had a programme on Chrystal mid week (what happened to him?) and one of his guests was the late, great, Tony Capstick.

I think Tony had other things on his mind when this photo was taken but he always helped the charity out and was a close friend of Laurance.

 

 

Carla Seddon, one of the first Chrystal television presenters, not much information about her but if anyone does have please let me know and I will update.  The same goes for any photos on this site.

 

 

 

Claire Benson. another early tv presenter from 1991.

 

 

Here he is, the God that is Darlow. Chris worked on the radio and tv side from mid 80's to late 90's and also held a job on Hallam and then Magic.  Brilliant fella.

Cherry was another presenter from the TV side who I think was on the opening night?

Micheal Cracknell, worked on the radio side but did a bit of telly as well.

Nice lad, went on to work in finance type stuff, he's on Twitter!

 

 

Here he is..Chris Bennett, a top fella who did a good radio show, he's on Twitter as well !

 

 

It's Richard McCourt and Elissa keeping warm at the Rotherham Show, we did it for the television side and spent the day filming with Chris Rogers (Hallam DJ at the time) now a BBC news reader.

Richard went on to be a presenter on the BBC with Dick and Dom and ton's more stuff.
